The system transmits digitized data by assigning a code to each
signal on a per-call basis. The signals are then spread over a wide
frequency band of several MHz
cdma2000 - 3G technology that increases
data transmission rates for existing CDMA (cdmaOne) network operators.
cdma2000 Phase 1 provides 144 Kbps of data integrated with voice
and is known by several names: IS-2000, MC-1X, IMT-CDMA MultiCarrier
1X and 1XRTT. Phase 2 increases the data rate to 2 Mbps and is based
on QUALCOMM's HDR technology. 1XEv-Data Voice (DV) integrates voice
and data. 1XEv-Data Only, which is sometimes called Phase 1+, provides
2 Mbps for data only
cdmaOne - Also known as IS-95, the CDMA
standard for digital cellular in the U.S. that operates in the 800MHz
band and the 1.9GHz PCS band
CDN - Content Delivery Network - system
of distributed content on a large intranet or the public Internet

CEBus - Consumer Electronic Bus - An
EIA standard for a control network for the home using a variety
of media, including AC power lines, telephone wire, coaxial cable
or wireless. CEBus uses the Common Application Language (CAL) to
communicate commands over the lines, and the Home Plug & Play specification
provides a uniform implementation for using CAL with household objects.
The CEbus Industry Council (CIC) supports this effort, and information

- a type of integrated circuit for digital processors and memories.
CMOS uses PMOS (Positive channel MOS)and NMOS (N-channel MOS) transistors
wired together to in a way that uses less power than PMOS-only or
NMOS-only circuits.
